Clean Up Complete After Racist Graffiti Found In The Beach Neighbourhood

The last traces of racist graffiti have been removed from the Beach neighbourhood.

A company was hired to scrub away the spray paint, which stretched on for about a kilometre.

Police believe that the culprits attacked the area near the boardwalk and Kenilworth Avenue on either Friday or Saturday. They are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

Racist slogans, including anti-Semitic taunts, were marked in red on buildings, signs, and the boardwalk itself.

It’s estimated that the clean-up has cost about $7000.
