There was criticism abound Thursday as information continues to trickle in regarding the way people will be vaccinated for H1N1 in Toronto.
Every year Toronto Public Health gives between 40 and 50 thousand seasonal flu shots, but with the increased demand there will be longer wait times at the H1N1 clinics.
Roughly 19 million doses of H1N1 vaccine will be available in Ontario. Toronto Public Health will open 10 flu-shot clinics and family doctors won’t be allowed to give the shots unless they take on extra paper work. The vaccine for Ontario should be on hand by the end of next week.
Francis D’Souza examines the possibility of shortages in the video below, Political Specialist Richard Madan looks into why some doses will be different from others and Health Specialist Laura Di Battista investigates whether the confusion over the vaccination program has turned some people off the whole idea.
