G20 Summit Will Reportedly Be Held At Metro Convention Centre

The upcoming G20 summit will reportedly be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on what may already be one of the busiest weekends of the summer in the city.

International delegates and their entourages will be gathering in the financial district on June 26 and 27th. The security zone will likely include the Rogers Centre. However, two afternoon Blue Jays games previously thought to be affected will not be rescheduled, or moved.

Toronto’s Gay Pride parade, which usually happens the last weekend in June, has been put off until the following weekend.

Nearly 50,000 delegates are expected to attend both the G20 and G8 summits. The G20 was originally scheduled to happen in Huntsville, Ont., which is still hosting the G8 summit happening the same weekend.
