TORONTO, Ont. – In an effort to prevent workplace injuries, the McGuinty government is launching an online tool to help inform people about musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
In 2008, 33,000 workers took time off work because of repetitive strain injuries that occur in the muscles, tendons and nerves, which are caused by things such as repetitive work and awkward posture.
The new online tool will inform people about ways to avoid straining certain body parts.
