Liam Hemsworth: Next Big Thing

In The Last Song, an unabashedly beautiful and touching film based on Nicholas Sparks’s novel, Liam Hemsworth plays Will Blakelee — the romantic interest to Miley Cyrus’s character, Ronnie. From the first moment Hemsworth appears onscreen in the film, it’s evident that he is going to become a huge star; if not for his dashing good looks, then for his his talent and ambition (which you can clearly see he has loads of). Since getting the part in The Last Song, Hemsworth, who is originally from Australia, now resides in Los Angeles, dates Cyrus in real life, and is competing for roles in upcoming Hollywood blockbusters such as the adaptation of Thor. And while he lost that part to his brother Chris, he will be spearheading the epic adventure film Arabian Nights, due out next year.
CityNews.ca spoke with Hemsworth about his role in The Last Song, which genres he would like to work in, and how influential his actor brothers were in him getting into the business. Watch the full interview below.
