Police have evacuated a west-end high school after learning of a bomb threat Tuesday morning.
Around 9am, an anonymous tipster called Crime Stoppers about the safety risk at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, near Islington Ave. and Dundas St. W.
Officers moved the students out of the building and placed the school in “hold and secure” mode. They also called in the Emergency Task Force to aid in the search and set up a command post nearby.
Police have revealed few other details as they are in the early stages of the investigation, but they say the students are not in any danger.
