A 73-year-old Ontario man has died of his injuries after his head was crushed in the drive-thru of a Wallaceburg Tim Hortons.
On Tuesday, George Weston began reversing in the lane while leaning out of his car to retrieve something he had dropped.
In doing so, his head was pinned between his truck door and a post near the drive-thru window.
Rescue crews used special equipment to free the Tupperville man, whose vehicle had become lodged by the drive-thru window. Although he had no vital signs when they arrived, paramedics revived and transported him to a hospital in Chatham-Kent.
He was then airlifted to a London hospital, where he died on Thursday.
