East-End Death Deemed “Natural”

A post-mortem exam Saturday revealed a woman who died unexpectedly suffered from a “unexpected natural sudden death.”
The death of Claudette Pepin, 63, had been previously deemed as “suspicious” by police.
Pepin was found dead in her eighth floor apartment at 444 Lumdsen Ave. on Thursday. At the time they said she was suffering from obvious signs of trauma.
Jean-Guy Pepin, 60, who neighbours told CityNews was Pepin’s husband, was arrested at the scene and charged with three counts of failure to comply with probation.
