Girl Injured By Lawnmower
A four-year-old girl is in hospital with a serious leg injury after accidentally falling under a riding lawnmower.
It happened just before 10am Sunday in a rural area of north Pickering. The girl had run out of the house to watch the lawnmower pass by when she slipped and fell.
The person riding the mower shut off the engine, but the blade caught the girl’s leg.

She was airlifted to Sick Kids Hospital and underwent emergency surgery. She has regained some feeling in her foot.
