Habs Shut Out Again

Montreal was shut out for the second straight game Tuesday night when the Flyers downed the Canadiens 3-0.
The Habs outshot the Flyers but got burned by goalie Michael Leighton, who stopped 30 attempts. Tuesday’s win gives Philadelphia a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final series.
Leighton managed to shut out Montreal in game one helping the Flyers nab a 6-0 win. Habs’ netminder Jaroslav Halak, the hero of the series against Washington and Pittsburgh, was pulled after allowing four goals in 14 shots in game one. He struggled again Tuesday.
Daniel Briere, Simon Gagne and Ville Leino all scored for Philadelphia.
Game 3 goes in Montreal Thursday. Philadelphia is 16-0 all-time when going up 2-0 in a series.
