12 year old charged after going for joyride

A 12 year old boy from Port Colborne will not be driving any time soon, after he allegedly stole a car and took his nine year old friend for a joyride in Welland.
A bystander alerted police after noticing a boy who looked too young to be driving behind the wheel of a vehicle.
The pre-teen is well known to police, and was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
The car was not damaged, and was returned to its owner.
