New study shows Meditteranean diet not great for some

For years, health experts have been singing the praises of the Mediterranean diet, saying it can reduce bad cholesterol levels and boost good cholesterol.
But a new study suggests the diet rich in olive oil, nuts and oily fish can actually increase the risk of cardiac problems for some patients who’ve already suffered a heart attack.
Researchers have said some patients had high levels of a protein in their blood, which causes inflammation and could make even good cholesterol dangerous.
These patients were the most likely to suffer subsequent heart attacks.
