Chris Brown denied entry into the UK

The British media reported Tuesday that U.S. singer Chris Brown was not allowed entry into the United Kingdom, and therefore, some of his tour dates have been postponed.
Brown had been scheduled to perform in Manchester, Birmingham, London, and the Scottish city of Glasgow, but the government’s office said that he was refused a visa because of his criminal record.
Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service last year for beating his then-girlfriend singer Rihanna.
The home office reported that Brown applied for a visa last week and should have been notified of his rejection.
His promoter, SJM Concerts, said Tuesday that Chris Brown’s tour had been put on hold “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
