Reward Offered For Missing Zoo Animals

The Bowmanville Zoo is now offering a $20, 000 reward for information leading to the recovery of its two camels and a Bengal tiger.

A stolen Ford truck which had been used to transport the animals was discovered Saturday northeast of Drumondville. So far, there has been no sign of the metallic grey trailer.

The animals were stolen from a parking lot in Quebec. They were headed back to the Bowmanville Zoo at the time.

The last time the animals were fed and watered was 11pm Wednesday night. They can go a long time without food, but are entering a critical time to be going without water.

The Bowmanville Zoo has received thousands of calls of support since news of the theft broke.

Anyone who spots the trailer, plate number E4398Y, should open any windows that may be closed and call police immediately.
