Col. Williams Makes Brief Court Appearance

The former commander of CFB Trenton made a brief court appearance on Thursday.

Col. Russell Williams is accused of murdering two women and sexually assaulting two others.

His case was put over and he is due back in court next month so that his lawyer can review disclosure material.

Williams is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Jessica Lloyd, 27, and Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, 37.

Lloyd’s body was found in Tweed on February 7, 2010, two weeks after she was reported missing. Comeau was found dead in her Brighton home on November 25, 2009. She had worked with Williams at CFB Trenton.

Williams has also been criminally charged with sexually assaulting another two women and with 82 break-and-enter charges, some of which reportedly involved lingerie.

One of Williams’ alleged sex assault victims, identified only as Jane Doe, has launched a $2.45-million lawsuit against Williams and his wife, Mary-Elizabeth Harriman.
