Security Tightens As G20 Looms

Toronto is officially in lockdown.
At 6pm Friday, police closed the gates to the G20 summit’s security zone. Unless you have a pass, you won’t be allowed within five meters of the security fence.
A 10-foot high fence stretches along Bay St. to Blue Jays Way, up to Wellington St. East. The southern boundary is York St., west on Bremner, south on Simcoe, west on Lakeshore and around the Rogers Centre.
Some people have complained of not being allowed to take photos in the area, but police haven’t said this is against the rules.
These regulations will be in place until Monday.
