Another child dead after drowning

TORONTO, Ont. – Another child is dead as a result of a drowning in a Toronto swimming pool.

Police said the 12-year-old boy died early Saturday after he was pulled from the Crown Plaza hotel swimming pool in the Eglinton and Don Valley Parkway area on Friday.

The boy who was with him at the time remains in hospital.

Both boys are members of a Brooklyn, New York soccer team, who were in the city to participate in the Robbie International Soccer Tournament.

The soccer team competed in the tournament Saturday as a tribute to their teammate.
