While the city swelters under an ongoing hot spell, many residents are struggling to cool off.
Public pools have been a lifeline for many residents trying to beat this extreme heat. But some areas of the city are finding that lifeline broken.
Two of the city’s pools, the Giovanni Caboto pool on St. Clair West and Gus Ryder pool at Sunnyside Park, are closed due to repairs.
The Sunnyside pool may not open at all this summer, after the electrical room was flooded.
