Lindsay Lohan Goes To Jail.
It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Perhaps the title of a comical farce where, after a series of humorous misunderstandings, our young star finds herself in the slammer and must rely on a trio of plucky, ethnically diverse friends to make her escape.
Too bad it’s the real thing. Lohan, who has a long-documented history of publicly misbehaving, arrived in court shortly after 8:30am (Pacific time) on Tuesday to turn herself in to authorities. She was then cuffed and taken to Lynwood Correctional Facility, a women-only prison in California, to begin her 90-day sentence.
Early this year, Lohan was convicted of driving under the influence and forced to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet on her ankle. But on July 6, she was found guilty of violating that probation order and sentenced to jail. Since then, she has been staying at a sober-living house.
According to TMZ, she will be held in solitary confinement at the jail, with one hot and two cold meals a day. And due to overcrowding, Lohan could be out in as little as 22 days.
Late Monday night, Lohan wrote “the only “bookings” that i’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i’d be “booking” into Jail…eeeks” on her Twitter feed.
After she completes her prison term, Lohan has been ordered to go to rehab for three months.
