Red wine the new cattle feed?

KELOWNA, B.C. – It’s like marinating your steak on the inside.

The Toronto Star reported two B.C. farmers have been lacing cattle feed with one litre of red wine per cow every day.

Local chefs in Kelowna are enthusiastic about the new cattle diet, saying the flavours are second to none.

And the cows … well, they are very content as well.

The farmers said they were inspired by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who fed beer to his pigs.
