Fatal Crash On Hwy 403

A single-vehicle accident on Highway 403 in Mississauga claimed a man’s life early Tuesday.
The crash happened around 1:15am. Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle while making a lane change. He hit the guard rail on the right side of the westbound highway, near Mavis Road, and the car ended up in a ditch and burst into flames.
Witnesses reported the car was driving erratically and at high speed before the crash. Authorities say it’s too early to determine if alcohol was a factor.
Fellow motorists reportedly stopped to help the man, but were unable to assist because of the fire. The victim hasn’t been identified.
The accident forced the closure of all westbound lanes. The highway reopened around 6:30am.
