Labour Day Weekend Activities, Open/Closed

It’s the unofficial end of summer and there’s a lot going on across the city for Labour Day, but several businesses and services will be closed down for the holiday.
Here’s a look at what you can expect this weekend:
Saturday:
Fiera food and music festival:
Runs along College between Shaw and Bathurst Streets Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday
Fiera food festival continues.
Monday
Italian Walk of Fame
1pm at College and Grace Streets
Brazilian Day
Yonge Street between Dundas and Queen
The march starts at 8:30am at Queen Street West and University. It makes its way west to Dufferin and then heads south to the Exhibition grounds. The event is expected to wrap up at 2pm.
Here’s a look at what’s open and closed on holiday Monday:
Open
- CNE
- Eaton Centre
- Vaughan Mills
- Square One
- Pacific Mall
Many retailers on downtown Yonge St. will also be open on the holiday.
Closed
- LCBO & Beer stores
- banks
- government offices
- no mail delivery
Both the TTC and GO Transit will be operating on holiday schedules.
