Severe Storm In Cottage Country

A severe storm left about 25,000 Huntsville residents in the dark Tuesday night.
The weather hit around 7pm, bringing down hydro wires and prompting police to shut down parts of Highway 141.
A tree landed on a vehicle on South Mary Lake Road in Port Sydney and trapped two people inside.
Emergency crews had to extricate the male driver, who had serious injuries. The female passenger had non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Hydro One expected to have power back sometime Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada said the thunderstorms brought with them wind gusts of 100 km/h and heavy downpours.
