680News to co-host another mayoral debate Wednesday

TORONTO, Ont. – The second of three mayoralty debates co-hosted by 680News will be held Wednesday night.

680News political affairs specialist John Stall will be one of the panelists who will question the top five candidates.

The event gets underway at 7 p.m. at York University, and a live video stream will be available at 680News.com.

The debate’s focus will be on the city’s transportation and finances, which is where all other candidates think front-runner Rob ford is vulnerable. He’ll be challenged again to reveal where he’ll find the money to pay for his plans.

Ford told the National Post editorial board that he’ll find just over $1-billion through attrition at city hall.

Meanwhile, former mayoral candidate Giorgio Mammoliti told 680News Wednesday morning he will publicly endorse Ford.

“We will work together, don’t worry, we’ll get along and we’ll do what’s right for the city,” Ford said.

If elected mayor, Ford would need 23 councillors to support him every time he wants to get an issue changed or introduced.
