Facebook rolls out “Places” application

TORONTO, Ont. – Canadian Facebook users now have a brand new way to connect with friends.

The social networking site has unveiled a new application called “Places”, which lets Smartphone users tag their movements as they go about their daily activities.

As soon as they tag their location, users can see if any of their friends are in the same spot, or check up on their movements in real time.
