CAA Workers Set To Strike

Employees in the Canadian Automobile Association offices are set to hit the picket lines Monday morning.
A statement said negotiations with the two unions, The United Steelworkers and the Canadian Auto Workers and the south-central Ontario CAA broke off Sunday morning.
There are 130 employees that work in CAA offices in and around Toronto, Barrie, Orillia, Oshawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Simcoe, and St. Thomas.
The labour dispute is hinging over a two per cent annual pay increase.
The employees set to strike are travel agents, service counsellors and insurance agents.
If the strike proceeds, stores in the affected areas will be closed, but CAA maintains customers will still be able to book trips, renew memberships and buy insurance online or over the phone.
The company also says the job action will not affect its roadside assistance program.
