Laptops Stolen After Thieves Cut Through Roof

Halton police are hunting for suspects who allegedly cut through a roof and wall to steal more than $65,000 worth of laptops from an Oakville Future Shop.

Officers say sometime between 6:30pm Sunday and 7:30am Monday, thieves cut a hole in the roof of the Chapters bookstore near the QEW and Dorval Drive, then cut through a dividing wall to get into the neighbouring Future Shop.

The suspects allegedly stole 105 laptops and fled the same way they got in, taking nothing from the Chapters. Future Shop had a security system, but it failed.
