For the second straight day a Toronto school was in lockdown.
Security was elevated Friday afternoon at St. Jerome elementary at 111 Sharpecroft Blvd., near Keele and Sheppard. A man was apparently spotted walking out of a building near Keele and Dovehouse Avenue with a gun, prompting the school to go into lockdown as a precaution.
Authorities searched the area and the K9 unit was brought in.
Gunshots rang out Thursday at Central Technical High School on Bathurst at Harbord Street, prompting the campus to go into lockdown. No one was injured and investigators are still trying to track down the gunman.
