Police Nab Impaired Driver Who Called Cab After Crashing Car On Drive Home

It should be easy for a man in Woodstock, Ont., to remember the order of the phone calls in the future.
Late Sunday night, the man who had been drinking in a Woodstock bar climbed into a car to drive away but immediately got into an accident.
That’s when he used his cellphone to call for a cab to take him home.
But someone reported the accident to police who then simply called area cab companies to find out who had called for a taxi near the bar.
In what has to be one of their easier pickups, the police stopped the cab just south of town and arrested the man.
No names have been released but the man has a court date Monday.
