GTA home resales drop significantly

Home resales dropped significantly in the GTA last month.

The Toronto Real Estate Board said about 6,300 homes changed hands in September — a 23 per cent slide from the same month a year ago.

However sales for the first nine months of this year are up four per cent compared to the same period last year.

And the average sale price was just over $427,000, a 5 per cent increase from 2009.
