Several overnight fires keep crews busy

It was a busy night for fire crews across the GTA.
At least six garages were destroyed in an overnight blaze that began around 1 a.m. on Wilson near Jane Street. Crews say propane tanks stored in one of the garages may have spread the flames.
Around the same time, crews were responding to a fire in a Parkdale apartment building overnight. The building was evacuated of its 100 people.
The fire is being called suspicious and police have taken a tenant of the building on Close Avenue in for questioning.
Meanwhile, Danforth Avenue was closed at the start of the morning rush hour because of smoke spotted in a dollar store east of Broadview.
No one was hurt in any of the overnight fires.
