Weather might have been a factor in a tractor-trailer crash in Scarborough overnight.
Around 4am Wednesday, the driver was heading east in the 401 express lanes near McCowan Road, when he lost control and veered into a guardrail.
Emergency crews put out a minor fire and the affected lanes were expected to be shut down for a few hours for the clean-up.
The driver was not seriously injured.
Earlier in the morning, another tractor-trailer caught fire on the southbound 400 near Major Mackenzie Drive in Vaughan (pictured above). The driver made it out unharmed.
And Peel police say rain was a factor in a deadly single-car crash at Steeles Avenue West and Goreway Drive around 9:30pm Tuesday. The car slammed into a guardrail and went into a ditch.
