Talking With Paul Haggis About ‘The Next Three Days’

Based on the French film Pour elle (Anything for Her), The Next Three Days is a grim thriller about husband and father John Brennan (Russell Crowe) dealing with his wife Lara (Elizabeth Banks) being sent to prison for murder. When all hope of her being released seems gone, John considers the possibility of breaking her out and sets his plan into motion.

Canadian writer and director Paul Haggis (Crash, In the Valley of Elah) is behind the adaptation, which he admits was influenced by the work of Alfred Hitchcock and intense thrillers from the ‘70s, such as Sydney Pollack’s Three Days of the Condor.

Haggis spoke with CityNews.ca about The Next Three Days. Watch our interview below.
