One Person Dead In East End Shooting

One person has been killed after a shooting in Scarborough Wednesday evening.

A male victim, 45, was struck when witnesses reported hearing approximately a dozen shots fired at 65 Greenbrae Circuit around 7pm.

The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Police are said to be looking for two or three suspects seen fleeing the scene in a grey or silver Dodge Charger with no plates.

This isn’t the first time Greenbrae Circuit has seen violence. On September 10, Jahmeel Spence, 27, was found shot to death behind 30 Greenbrae Circuit.

This marks the city’s 56th homicide of the year. It also continues Toronto’s recent spate of gun violence, now with four murders and 11 shootings since last Wednesday.

“It’s tragic when you see this number of shootings in the city of Toronto,” said Toronto police Insp. Gerry Cashman.

The city’s 55th murder victim, William Nathanson, 19, was killed on November 23.
