Queen’s Student Dies After Falling Through Skylight

A Queen’s University student has died and another is in hospital after they both fell through a skylight on December 2.

It happened at the Kingston school’s Duncan McArthur Hall library around 7:30pm.

Habib Khan, 19, was pronounced dead in hospital. Stephen Nagy, 18, is in stable condition.

“Our hearts and prayers are with Habib and Stephen’s families and friends,” Principal Daniel Woolf said in a statement.

“This is a terrible tragedy.”

Khan is from Saudi Arabia and was living in an on-campus residence.

Officers continue to investigate and the school is providing counseling for students.
