Fire Engulfs House In Bolton

Firefighters have knocked down a stubborn house fire in Bolton.

The blaze broke out shortly before 5pm Friday on Riverwood Terrace, near King Street East and Albion Vaughan Road.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze, but it was fuelled by gasoline and propane in the garage, which the homeowner apparently used as a small motorcycle shop. A house next door was also damaged.

“We don’t know the people who live there, but we do know several of the neighbours and they are out there and they are in shock,” said area resident Julia Sutton.

There are no reports of any injuries.
