Certain Brandy Beans liqueur chocolate recalled over undeclared milk

OTTAWA – People with milk allergies are being warned to avoid certain VSC Chocolats Brandy Bean Liqueur Chocolates because they may contain milk not declared on the label.
The German-made chocolates were sold in 200 gram packs with lot codes L7058 J8 and L5177 J8.
They were distributed nationally.
There have been no reported illnesses so far, but eating the chocolates could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in those with allergies to milk proteins.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is working with the importer to have the chocolates pulled from store shelves.
