“Twilight” Cleans Up At People’s Choice Awards

The “Twilight” series dominated the People’s Choice Awards, with the film and its main actress and actors taking home four translucent trophies Wednesday night.
Voters chose “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” as their favourite film overall. The third installment of the movie series was also voted best dramatic film. Kristen Stewart picked up the trophy for fans’ favourite film actress and Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were voted fans’ favourite on-screen team.
Queen Latifah hosted the awards show in Los Angeles.
In other movie wins, Johnny Depp was voted favourite actor, Jackie Chan picked up the favourite action star trophy and “Toy Story 3” was voted favourite family film.
The television show “House” picked up three awards.
In music, Eminem was fans’ favourite in four categories: hip-hop artist, male musician, song and video for “Love the Way You Lie”, with Rihanna.
Rihanna picked up the favourite pop artist award, Taylor Swift was fans’ pick in the country category and Usher won for favourite R&B artist.
Katy Perry was fan’s favourite female artist and online sensation.
