Warm And Wet Day In Store For Toronto

There’s a warm and wet day in store for Toronto, just 24 hours after the city coped with -20C temperatures.

Tuesday morning brought drizzle to the downtown core and north of the 401, it was freezing rain.

We’ll see a high of 3C – yes, that’s three degrees above freezing – and a low of -4C overnight.

But while it’s warm, it’s not paradise. Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for much of Ontario, stretching from Windsor to Niagara Falls, the Toronto area, north to Algonquin Park and east to Ottawa.

The entire region is expected to get a mixed bag of snow, freezing rain and rain.

By Wednesday morning, we’ll be right back to real winter conditions. Lake effect snow will move in, about 2-4cm in the city, and Barrie is in for even more snow.
