Pizza Gigi reopens after owner arrested on drug charges

The ovens are fired up at Pizza Gigi again, more than two weeks after the pizzeria’s owner was arrested on drug charges.

The popular spot on Harbord Street, just east of Bathurst, reopened Wednesday.

Owner Salvatore Crimi is facing 15 drug-related charges after police raided his shop and allegedly found $1 million worth of marijuana behind the counter. Authorities also claim to have found crack, Oxycocet, Oxycontin and ecstasy at the address.

Cops executed a search warrant at the pizzeria on Feb. 14 after receiving complaints from the public about alleged drug transactions at the shop.
