PITTSBURGH — Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has returned to the ice for the first time since missing 29 games with a concussion.

The Penguins say Crosby skated for about 15 minutes in full gear at Consol Energy Center.

He stickhandled around some cones and shot a few pucks, according to the team.

Crosby last played for the Penguins on Jan. 5 against Tampa Bay.

The NHL team did not offer any more details on when he might be back.
