Jim Cuddy found inspiration in royal wedding for latest album

The British royal wedding inspired a song on Jim Cuddy’s recent offering Skyscraper Soul — his third solo effort.

The Blue Rodeo frontman said he was stunned to learn about two billion people watched the marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton back in July.

“The wedding must have been something that really lifted people out of their relatively ordinary lives for however brief a time,” he said while talking about his song Everyone Watched the Wedding.
