Report: Madden, Panthers agree on deal

John Madden could be the newest addition to the Florida Panthers.

According to various reports, the 38-year-old centre is close to signing a deal with the Panthers which could be officially announced on Thursday.

Madden, a three-time Stanley Cup champion, spent last season with the Minnesota Wild where he recorded 12 goals and 13 assists in 76 games.

Florida currently sits third in the Eastern Conference with a 19-11-7 record.
