Waterloo man charged after marijuana bust at RIDE spot check

MINTO, Ont. – A Waterloo, Ont., man is facing drug charges after provincial police stopped the car he rode in at a RIDE spot check northwest of Guelph.

Police say they searched the occupants of the car Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Wellington Road 5 and Wellington Road 109 in Minto.

Investigators allege they found more than 175 grams of marijuana and $3,000 in cash on one of the passengers.

Twenty-four-year-old Trevor Michael Henry is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.
