Consumer Electronics Show draws celebrities

The 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas opened on Tuesday with celebrities like 50 Cent, Snooki, and Earth, Wind & Fire, adding to the annual convention’s draw.  Their appearances also highlighted the growing trend of celebrity-designed and endorsed designer headphone lines.

The celebrity quotient increases Wednesday when teen heartthrob Justin Bieber drops in on behalf of Vietnamese robotics company TOSY.

Signing autographs for the Miami, Florida-based company SMS Audio which he owns, rapper 50 Cent showed his entrepreneurial side at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
     
He is helping to market his brand of wireless headphones
that use a clear signal, rather than relying on bluetooth technology.
          
Reality TV star Snooki took a break from her busy “Jersey Shore” schedule to appear at another headphone maker’s booth,  iHip, made by New York-based Zeikos.

Sony Music recording artists, R&B funk  legends Earth, Wind & Fire were on hand at parent company Sony’s massive exhibition space, playing their hits for convention-goers.
