Tories lead in public opinion poll

TORONTO, Ont. – Provincial Conservatives have regained the lead in public opinion they lost to the Liberals last fall, according to a new poll.
A forum research survey shows Tim Hudak’s Tories have moved ahead of Premier Dalton McGuinty’s Liberals.
The Toronto Star reports the Tories are at 41 per cent while the the Grits are at 33 per cent.
The New Democrats are third with 20 per cent while the Green Part sit at 4 per cent.
The poll comes as the minority Liberal government faces service cuts to eliminate a $16-billion deficit.
In the October 6 election, the Liberals had 37.6 per cent of the popular vote, the Tories 35.4 per cent, the NDP 22.7 per cent, and the Greens 2.9 per cent.
