Simon Cowell to launch new talent show for DJs

It appears Simon Cowell loves to find new talent.

The TV personality and music producer known for American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor, is launching a new talent competition to find the world’s best DJs.

The new format will be co-produced by Cowell’s joint venture with Sony Music and Overbrook Entertainment, a company founded by actor Will Smith.

According to Reuters, the 52 year old said DJ’s are the new rock stars and that it feels like the right time to make this show.

With the rising popularity of DJ’s like David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Aviici — Mr. Cowell might just be right.
