NHL Power Rankings: Shutout monsters

North of the border, much is made of Vancouver’s dynamic goaltending duo of Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo and all of the opportunities and challenges that present themselves when one team has two guys who could start.
But St. Louis (and arguably Boston) is also flush in net. Amongst teams that have played 55 games minimum, St. Louis has far and away allowed the fewest goals (111 heading into Monday). The stingy duo of Jaroslav Halak (.922 save percentage, career-best 1.97 GAA) and Brian Elliott (career-best .939 save percentage, career-best 1.63 GAA) have combined for 11 shutouts this season.
Defence is not an issue with this team; scoring is. Of the top 17 teams in the NHL, only the L.A. Kings have scored fewer goals than the Blues’ 139. Consider the return of forward Andy Macdonald, who is back in the lineup after missing 51 games with a concussion, and the Blues could continue to blank their way up the ranks.
