Miller to face Dolloway at UFC 146

It appears Jason (Mayhem) Miller is getting another chance to show he belongs in the UFC’s middleweight division.
Miller, who lost by TKO to Michael (The Count) Bisping in December in his first fight with the organization since 2005, announced on his Twitter account Saturday that he will be fighting on May 26 in Las Vegas against C.B. Dollaway.
Miller (@mayhemmiller) tweeted: “Breaking News: I’m fighting on @ufc 146. World exclusive.”
The charismatic fighter then added: “I’m fighting Theebee Dollaway.”
Miller fought Bisping at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 14 following stints as coaches on the reality show in which the two divisive characters got under each other’s skins. Miller was criticized for his lack of conditioning in their bout after he gassed fairly quickly and was unable to mount very much offence before his British opponent stopped him with knees and body strikes at 3:34 of the third round.
He admitted following the bout that it was a bad performance, and not what he was looking for in his return to the Octagon. Meanwhile, UFC president Dana White said he was unhappy with the showing but that the organization wouldn’t be quick to cut him. His popularity and marketability likely helped his cause.
The man better known as Mayhem tried to ensure his Twitter followers that conditioning won’t be an issue in his next bout.
“I won’t gas. CARDIO. CARDIO. TIME TO TRAIN HARD. MEDITATE. ZEN.”
Miller fought once in the UFC in April 2005 at welterweight, losing to Georges St-Pierre, now the promotion’s 170-pound champion. He fought many times for Dream and Strikeforce, competing for their respective middleweight titles, vacant at the time, in consecutive bouts. He fought to a no-contest against Ronaldo (Jacare) Souza at Dream 9 in May 2009 and then lost by decision to Jake Shields in November 2009.
Dollaway, who lost in the final of TUF 7 in 2008, has dropped two straight fights in the UFC against Mark Munoz and Jared Hamman.
The loser of their bout will almost certainly face release from the organization.
UFC 146, slated to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, is expected to be headlined by the heavyweight title bout between champion Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.
