Irregular heartbeat can effect memory: Study

HAMILTON, Ont. – Research out of McMaster University finds that an irregular heartbeat can effect your memory.

A department of medicine professor told The Toronto Star that an irregular beat can produce tiny blood clots which reach the brain and block arteries, leading to minor strokes.

The damage builds up over a long period of time and can lead to memory loss.

The researchers studied more than 31,000 patients in their 70’s.
